About The Secret Garden Preschool
For over 40 years, we've been nurturing young minds and creating magical childhood memories along the beautiful Santa Cruz coast.
Where It All Began
The Secret Garden Preschool began with a simple dream: to create a place where children could explore, discover, and grow surrounded by nature's beauty.
In 1977, Sylvia Gerbl opened our first location in La Selva Beach. In 2020, Olesya Kalinowska became the new owner of The Secret Garden Preschool. Since then Olesya expanded the preschool into 2 locations. What started with just 6 children has blossomed into two locations serving over 100 families.
Today, we remain committed to our founding principles: small class sizes, play-based learning, literature-rich curriculum, and nurturing care that honors each child's unique journey.
